Local News about Paramount Park

It was announced that an agreement has been made for the purchase of land formerly destined for the Sierra de Alhama Golf Resort. The area of land measuring 1.653,000 sqm is close to the Alhama de Murcia autovia and will be approximately 15 minutes to the new International airport being constructed at Corvera. The land which is owned by the local construction company, Intersa, is believed to have a value of approximately 15 million euros. The popular Condado de Alhama Golf Resort will be around 7 minutes from the new Theme Park.

It is envisaged that the plans of this existing new Park will be available in April 2012, and with a building timescale of up to 4 years maxiumum.  The Complex will include a Leisure Park divided by themes, into four areas, and two themed Hotels, as well as a LifeStyle Centre, a cultural business and Leisure Area, which will have seven hotels and a Recreational Area.

It is also estimated that up to 4.5 million visitors a year could visit the Park and surrounding area. This would bring enormous benefits to the local economy. With over 7.8 million potential customers within a radius of 300km and up to 59 million people within 2 hours by plane, the Theme park is in the ideal location for accessibility and climate. High Speed Rail Link (AVE)

 Exciting news!  There is a brand new High Speed Train link which will travel from Madrid/Barcelona and connect to many Train staions in Murcia and Almerica, including Alicante, Vera Playa, Lorca and Malaga.  This High speed train will cut the journey time in half, and is planned to be in operation around 2015.
